What to write to us about
- Corrections. If a number, method or product detail in one of our guides is wrong or out of date, tell us which page it is on and what should change. Link a source if you have one. Confirmed errors are fixed.
- Project questions. Describe your project: its size, what it will carry (foot traffic, a car or a hot tub), your soil and your climate. Photos help. We can't inspect your site, but we can point you to the right part of a guide and tell you which questions to ask a local pro.
- Topic suggestions. If a guide you needed doesn't exist yet, let us know.
- Business enquiries. For partnerships and advertising, put "Business" in the subject line.
Before you email
For safety questions about digging, call 811 in the US before any excavation. Utility locating is free. For structural work, drainage onto a neighbor's property, or work that needs a permit, check with your local building department or a licensed contractor.
