This Privacy Policy explains what information PaverLab (paverlab.com, "we", "us") collects when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the site needs to run.
Information we collect
Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply to you and to improve the site, for example by fixing an error you reported.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting server and security software record technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. We use this to keep the site secure, block malicious traffic and fix technical problems.
We do not have user accounts for readers, and comments are turned off. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser.
- Essential and security cookies. Our security software may set cookies that help tell real visitors apart from automated attacks.
- Affiliate cookies. When you click an affiliate link, such as a link to Amazon, the retailer may set a cookie on its own website. The cookie records that you arrived from PaverLab so a commission can be credited if you buy. The retailer sets and controls this cookie under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics and advertising cookies. If we add analytics or advertising services in the future, those providers may set cookies to measure traffic or show ads. This policy will be updated to name them before they are used.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work without them.
Third-party services
The site relies on the following third parties. Each processes limited technical data under its own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when the fonts load.
- Security and performance tools. These include Wordfence, which protects the site from attacks, and LiteSpeed Cache, which speeds up page delivery. They process request data such as IP addresses to do their job.
- Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs. See Affiliate Disclosure.
- Links to other websites. Our guides link to manufacturers, standards bodies and other sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
How we use information
We use information to:
- operate and secure the website
- reply to your messages
- understand which content is useful and improve it
- meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need them to handle your request and keep a record of corrections. Server and security logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted or overwritten on a rolling basis.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you
- object to or restrict certain processing
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it)
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Children's privacy
PaverLab is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the site and the information it handles, including HTTPS encryption and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
